It’s been a long time coming!  Today we finished shooting the live footage for Blood Diamonds, and also the pre-CGI edit of the video. My brother and I hit up the thrift store earlier to find a perfect outfit for his character,  then descended on the streets of Albany Park to get the last few key shots.

There is still a ton of work to do, as the narrative involves a fully animated CGI character, modeled and rigged by the illustrious Maureen Boyle.

I don’t want to give away too much just yet, but promise to give a taste when we launch the Kickstarter campaign to fund promotions for the video and single dual-release. Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise, the Blood Diamonds music video will be finalized by the end of Autumn 2014. Who’s up for a viewing party?
